NYCESPA celebrates the outstanding work of principals to affirm and empower in these unprecedented times. Principals are invited to bring their Assistant Principals and School Leadership Team members to be part of a day filled with learning, opportunities to network, dozens of vendors sharing the newest products and services to support your students’ success.  The day culminates with a gala luncheon, and the opportunity to celebrate the 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 year principalship milestones of our NYCESPA colleagues.

Keynote Speaker Tia McIntosh
Coaching Director
Franklin Covey Education

 

Tia Major-McIntosh is currently a proud Coaching Director and Leader in Me Educational Consultant and Coach for FranklinCovey’s education division. In her current role, she leads the team of coaches in the eastern United States. She also coaches schools throughout the state of Georgia and trains schools nationally. In addition to working to ensure the success of her team, her focus is on promoting leadership practices at both the adult and student levels to foster desired results in leadership, culture, and academics. Before beginning her work with FranklinCovey four and a half years ago, Tia spent fifteen years serving as a teacher, academic coach, school administrator, and district central office administrator in high needs urban schools. She has had the pleasure of working as a school leader at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. In these roles, Tia has been committed to coaching staffs in the implementation of best practices. She has effectively led school teams in obtaining improved student academic outcomes and enhanced school cultures.  Facilitating staff development opportunities is one of her passions. Tia is dedicated to educational improvement efforts and has diligently served disenfranchised students and their families for over nineteen years. Tia remains committed to community service and continues her work with non-profit organizations. She is currently serving as the Chairwoman of the board of a non-profit that serves marginalized women and children. Tia holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and continues to pursue advanced degrees and executive coaching certifications. She currently resides in McDonough, GA with her spouse and three children.
