Elementary Principals: Leading in Unprecedented Times



NYCESPA celebrates the outstanding work of principals to affirm and empower in these unprecedented times. Principals are invited to bring their Assistant Principals and School Leadership Team members to be part of a day filled with learning, opportunities to network, dozens of vendors sharing the newest products and services to support your students’ success. The day culminates with a gala luncheon, and the opportunity to celebrate the 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 year principalship milestones of our NYCESPA colleagues.
Convention Honorees

Isabel DiMola serves as Acting First Deputy Chancellor of the New York City Public Schools, bringing more than 30 years of distinguished service to the system she once attended as a student in Brooklyn. She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in History, along with an advanced certificate in School and District Administration and Supervision..
A committed advocate for educational equity and whole-child development, Acting First Deputy Chancellor DiMola works to ensure that every student has access to rigorous, meaningful learning experiences that prepare them for success.

John R. Khani dedicated 38 years to the New York City public school system as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal, followed by nearly two decades of service with CSA. A graduate of Lehman College and Baruch College, he also completed doctoral studies and leadership training at Yale and Harvard.
Following his retirement from the Department of Education, he became Assistant Director for Political Affairs at CSA. A former NYCESPA President and long-serving union leader, John remains deeply committed to public education and advocacy.

Attendee Registration
Tickets for the NYCESPA Convention are $190 each. NYCESPA is a Sole Source Vendor for Professional Development for the NYCESPA Convention. Registration opens on November 12th and the regular registration period ends on February 27th. Late registration will take place if seating is available.

Exhibitors at the NYCESPA Convention can register using the link below. Early Bird Registration is open from November 12th – December 26th. Standard Registration from December 27th – February 13th. Late Registration (if space is available) after February 13th.
